Tanaro Cycle Path from Alba to Pollenzo

The Tanaro Cycle Route from Alba to Pollenzo follows the river through one of Italy's most famous wine-producing landscapes, the Langhe, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The cycle route extends for over forty kilometers on mostly flat terrain, skirting the banks of the Tanaro River, passing rows of vineyards and medieval villages. Monticello d'Alba offers a prime location for accessing this route, which passes through Alba, the capital of the Langhe, and Pollenzo, home to the University of Gastronomic Sciences. The route is suitable for cyclists of all levels and offers numerous food stops along the way. Spring and autumn are ideal seasons, avoiding the summer heat of the plains. A bicycle with tires suitable for dirt roads is recommended.
