Description
The Paroldo History Trail leads through the historical memories of a Langhe village that has preserved its identity intact. The thirteen-kilometer route winds through hills covered in woods and vineyards, passing significant sites linked to local history, from the Resistance to rural traditions. The elevation gain of nearly 600 meters offers a challenging yet rewarding hike, with panoramic views that encompass the entire Alta Langa. Paroldo is famous for its traditions linked to the figures of the Masche, the Piedmontese witches, and the trail evokes their mysterious atmosphere. In autumn, the chestnut woods offer extraordinary colors and the opportunity to harvest the fruit. Hiking shoes and a supply of water are essential.
