Description
Stage 1 of the Alta Via dell'Anfiteatro Morainico di Ivrea crosses the Piverone area along the ridge of the moraine hills overlooking Lake Viverone. The route offers extraordinary views of the lake below, the moraine amphitheater, and the Alpine chain, passing through vineyards, mixed forests, and hilly meadows. You'll encounter Bronze Age archaeological remains and charming rural villages. This long and varied itinerary is the perfect introduction to the Alta Via.
