Description
The Resistance Trails - Stage 11 winds through the Pomaretto area of the Germanasca Valley, retracing the sites of the partisan struggle. The route passes through chestnut and conifer forests, stone-built Waldensian villages, and scenic overlooks overlooking the valley. Information panels recount episodes of the Resistance in which the mountain communities of the Germanasca Valley played a leading role. This itinerary combines history, Waldensian culture, and Alpine nature in a breathtaking setting.
