Description
The Cuorgnè-Corio trail is a challenging hiking route that crosses the pre-Alpine region of western Canavese, connecting the historic towns of Cuorgnè and Corio through chestnut and beech forests. The route winds along scenic ridges with views of the Orco Valley and the Gran Paradiso mountains, overcoming a significant elevation gain, making it suitable for experienced hikers. It passes through rural villages, abandoned mountain pastures, and vestiges of mountain farming life, in a natural environment rich in biodiversity. The trail offers a complete experience of the Canavese landscape, from wooded areas to high-altitude clearings with views of the Po Valley.
