Road of Votes

The Strada delle Vote (Vote Road) is a picturesque itinerary that climbs the hillsides above Quassolo, in the upper Canavese area, along an ancient paved road that once connected the valley floor with the mountain pastures. The route, short but with significant gradients, passes through historic terraces and chestnut groves, evidence of the area's ancient agricultural use. The name 'Vote' derives from the vaults of the arches that support some sections of the historic road, architectural elements of considerable interest. From the highest points, panoramic views of the Dora Baltea valley and the surrounding mountains are offered. A fascinating itinerary for lovers of history and Alpine landscapes.
