Trail of the erratic boulders

The Sentiero dei Massi Erratici (Erratic Boulders Trail) is a unique nature trail that crosses the Vialfrè area in the Canavese region, following the traces of enormous blocks of rock transported by the ancient Balteo glacier during the ice ages. The trail connects several erratic boulders of considerable size, true natural monuments that testify to the power of glacial forces. Along the way, you pass through oak and chestnut forests with panoramic views of the Ivrea moraine amphitheater. This trail is of great geological and naturalistic interest.
