Description
The Monte Bossea Nature Trail in the Aveto Regional Natural Park is a self-guided educational trail that starts at the Gambatesa Mine (502 m) and reaches the summit of Monte Bossea (730 m). There are fourteen observation points along the trail. Botanical highlight: a rare 'bosseta', a vegetation dominated by boxwood (Buxus sempervirens), a 'Tertiary relic' that survived thanks to the ophiolites in the substrate. Views of the inland forests and the Ligurian Sea, all the way to the Portofino Promontory.
