Description
The Ciaè Botanical Trail runs from Ronco di Sant'Olcese to the ancient medieval village of Ciaè and then to Orero (Serra Ricco). Along the trail, 32 plant species are identified by signs: quince, oak, cherry, hornbeam, ash, heather, chestnut, and medlar. The village of Ciaè hosts a refuge with 14 beds, a reception center, and a covered loggia. Since 1995, the trail has been connected to the Alta Via dei Monti Liguri. Created in 1984 by volunteers of the Sant'Olcese Fire Brigade.
