Description
The Carbonari Trail in Pezzaze in the Trompia Valley, along the Cavallina Valley. This almost completely flat trail (640-670 m) is about a kilometer long, and was once a tradition of charcoal burning until the 1960s. Along the forest, you can see the remains of charcoal pits, huts, and lime kilns, restored to promote the forestry culture of Pezzaze. Signs contain oral histories and archive documents.
