Information on the use of cookies on TRAILGO. Our approach is simple: technical cookies only, no tracking, no profiling.
1.1 — Cookies are small text files that websites store on the visitor's device (computer, smartphone, tablet) during browsing. They are used to ensure websites function correctly, improve user experience, and in some cases, to track browsing habits.
1.2 — There are several types of cookies: technical cookies (necessary for website functionality), analytics cookies (for usage statistics), profiling cookies (to track preferences and display targeted advertising). TRAILGO uses exclusively technical cookies.
2.1 — Consistent with our philosophy of providing a free service without registration and respecting the privacy of citizens and tourists, TRAILGO adopts a minimalist approach to cookie use.
2.2 — We use only technical cookies strictly necessary for the Platform to function. We do not use in any way: profiling cookies; advertising cookies; remarketing or retargeting cookies; third-party tracking cookies (Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, etc.); cookies for creating user profiles.
2.3 — Since TRAILGO does not require registration, there are no cookies linked to user accounts, login sessions, shopping carts, or personal preferences (except for the language of navigation).
Below is the complete and detailed list of all cookies used by the Platform:
trailgo_lang
PHPSESSID
This is the complete list. TRAILGO does not use any cookies other than the two listed above.
For maximum transparency toward citizens and tourists, we confirm that TRAILGO does not use any of the following tracking technologies:
5.1 — In accordance with applicable legislation (Directive 2002/58/EC (ePrivacy Directive), Ruling of the Data Protection Authority of May 8, 2014, and subsequent Guidelines of June 10, 2021), technical cookies do not require prior user consent, as they are strictly necessary to provide the requested service.
5.2 — Since TRAILGO uses exclusively technical cookies, a cookie consent banner is not necessary under applicable legislation. The complete informational statement is nevertheless made available to citizens and tourists on this page to ensure maximum transparency.
5.3 — Should TRAILGO in the future integrate non-technical cookies (analytics or third-party), a consent management system compliant with applicable legislation will be implemented before the activation of such cookies.
6.1 — Although TRAILGO's cookies are exclusively technical, citizens and tourists can at any time manage, disable, or delete cookies through their browser settings.
6.2 — Below are guides for the major browsers:
6.3 — Attention: disabling technical cookies may compromise the correct functioning of some TRAILGO features, such as the storage of your preferred language.
7.1 — In addition to cookies, websites can use other local storage technologies such as localStorage, sessionStorage, and IndexedDB. TRAILGO may use browser localStorage to temporarily store data relating to consulted routes (e.g., map data for offline functionality), solely to improve performance and the user experience for citizens and tourists.
7.2 — Such data are stored exclusively on the User's device, are not transmitted to AVANET servers, and can be deleted at any time by clearing the browser's browsing data.
8.1 — TRAILGO uses external resources loaded from Content Delivery Networks (CDN) for the technical functioning of the Platform. These include libraries such as Bootstrap (CSS framework), Leaflet (maps library), and Bootstrap Icons.
8.2 — When the citizen or tourist's browser loads these resources from the CDN, the CDN provider may receive the User's IP address as part of the standard HTTP request. These providers do not install cookies through TRAILGO.
8.3 — Map tiles are provided by OpenStreetMap (and/or compatible providers). Loading tiles involves transmitting the IP address to the map service provider. Please refer to their respective privacy notices.
