2.1 — TRAILGO è a completely free service for citizens and tourists to consult routes in Italian territory. The Platform was designed with complete respect for privacy from its conception (privacy by design).
2.2 — TRAILGO does not require any form of registration, account creation, subscription or authentication. No personal data is required to use the Platform. Citizens and tourists access all routes freely and anonymously.
2.3 — Consequently, the processing of personal data by TRAILGO is extremely limited and concerns exclusively technical data collected automatically during website navigation, as described in the following paragraphs.
3.1 — Like every website, the computer systems and software procedures that enable TRAILGO to function acquire, during normal operation, certain data whose transmission is implicit in the use of Internet communication protocols. This data may include: IP address (in anonymized form); browser type and operating system; date and time of access; pages visited and time spent; referrer source (referrer).
3.2 — This data is used solely to ensure the proper functioning of the Platform, derive anonymous statistical information on site usage and identify any malfunctions. Navigation data does not allow direct identification of citizens or tourists and is deleted periodically.
3.3 — The GPS navigation function of TRAILGO requires access to the User's device location. This access is requested through the browser and requires explicit consent from the citizen or tourist.
3.4 — Geolocation data is processed exclusively locally, on the User's device, and is never transmitted to AVANET servers or third parties. The User's location is not recorded, stored or tracked in any way.
3.5 — The User can revoke geolocation permission at any time directly from their browser settings, without compromising the use of other Platform features (map consultation, route descriptions, points of interest).
3.6 — TRAILGO does not require completion of forms or submission of personal data to use the Platform. Should a citizen or tourist voluntarily choose to contact AVANET via the email address provided, the data provided (name, email address, message content) will be processed exclusively to respond to the request.

Ensure the proper functioning of the Platform, system security and prevention of abuse or cyber attacks.
Derive aggregate and anonymous statistics on site usage to improve the service offered to citizens and tourists.

Respond to any communications voluntarily sent by citizens or tourists.
6.1 — The processing of navigation data is based on the legitimate interest of the Controller (Art. 6, paragraph 1, letter f of GDPR) to ensure technical operation and security of the Platform.
6.2 — The use of geolocation data is based on the explicit consent of the User (Art. 6, paragraph 1, letter a of GDPR), expressed through browser authorization. Consent can be revoked at any time.
6.3 — The use of technical cookies is based on the contractual necessity to provide the service requested by citizens and tourists (Art. 6, paragraph 1, letter b of the GDPR).
7.1 — TRAILGO uses exclusively technical cookies strictly necessary for website operation. These cookies do not require prior user consent pursuant to applicable regulations.

7.3 — TRAILGO does not use profiling cookies, advertising cookies or third-party tracking cookies. Remarketing or retargeting tools are not used.
7.4 — The User can manage or disable cookies directly from their browser settings. Disabling technical cookies may compromise some website features (e.g., language preference storage).
8.1 — Navigation data (server logs) is retained for a maximum period of 90 days from the date of collection, after which it is automatically deleted.
8.2 — Geolocation data is not retained as it is processed exclusively on the User's device.
8.3 — Any data voluntarily provided via email is retained for the time strictly necessary to manage the request and, subsequently, for the period provided by current regulations for the retention of business communications.
9.1 — AVANET does not sell, does not share and does not transfer to third parties the technical data collected through the Platform.
9.2 — Data may be communicated exclusively to: hosting service providers and technical infrastructure providers, strictly necessary for the operation of the Platform, designated as Data Processors pursuant to Art. 28 of GDPR; competent authorities, if required by law.
9.3 — The servers hosting the Platform are located in the European Union. No data transfer is foreseen to third countries outside the European Economic Area.
10.1 — Pursuant to Articles 15-22 of EU Regulation 2016/679 (GDPR), citizens and tourists have the right to:

11.1 — AVANET adopts appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect the data processed, in compliance with Art. 32 of GDPR. These measures include: encrypted connection via HTTPS/TLS protocol; server protection with firewall and intrusion detection systems; system access limited to authorized personnel; periodic backups and disaster recovery procedures.
11.2 — Despite the measures adopted, no computer system can guarantee absolute security. AVANET commits to promptly notify any personal data breaches to the Supervisory Authority and, where necessary, to those concerned, in compliance with Art. 33 and 34 of GDPR.
12.1 — TRAILGO does not knowingly collect personal data from minors under 14 years. Because the service does not require registration and does not collect identifying personal data, it is not possible to determine the age of Users.
12.2 — It is recommended that parents and guardians supervise minors' use of the Platform, particularly regarding hiking activities.
13.1 — TRAILGO uses third-party mapping services for map display, including OpenStreetMap. These services may independently collect technical data (such as IP address) according to their own privacy policies.
13.2 — TRAILGO may use third-party libraries hosted on Content Delivery Networks (CDN) for the technical operation of the site (e.g. Bootstrap, Leaflet). The use of such CDNs involves the transmission of the User's IP address to the CDN provider.
